5 Notion Dashboards Every Neurodivergent Entrepreneur Needs
are you feeling overwhelmed setting up your Notion workspace? if i were starting from scratch, these are the 5 essential dashboards i’d build first to keep my neurodivergent brain and business running smoothly 😏
in this video, i go over:
headquarters for organization
daily dashboard for task and project management
content creation dashboard
second brain dashboard for saving resources
SOP’s - standard operating procedures
headquarters - hq dashboard
first up, i would start out with a headquarters dash. this is the main page where all the other dashboards and databases in your workspace live.
this dashboard helps to keep your entire workspace tidy by organizing all of your other pages. and it’s cool because you can organize this page in whatever way works best for your brain.
this page helps to keep your sidebar uncluttered. because now instead of having a bunch of loose pages scrambling up the side bar, they’re now tucked away in the hq.
by putting all dashboards and databases on this main page, that enables me to paste and remove filtered views of databases all over my workspace without worrying about messing up or accidentally deleting the original database.
it prevents losing pages and databases. it’s easy to create a page and then create a bunch of databases on that page and then easily lose track of where you put them later on.
it also makes things easy on my brain because when i am looking for something specific, i know this is where i go to find it.
example: if i want to send someone the link to my youtube channel. i don’t have to think about where to go - i automatically go to my hq, and from there i find the appropriate page - my quick links database, to go to to find my link!
i call my hq “my holy grail” - cuz it’s the most valuable page in my whole workspace and it’s essentially the organizational gold that my brain has always needed.
i have three main sections to mine: business, personal, and home. my business section is up top because that’s what i use most so it’s really easy for me to access what i need.
i use columns, headings, and toggles to help organize it further.
i’ve got the whole holy grail hq business system as a template you can check out here. it includes all the rest of the dashboards i’m gonna talk about next!
daily dashboard
the 2nd most important Notion dashboard to create is a daily dashboard. this is gonna be your go-to page each day - where you show up to get stuff done! you can optimize this dashboard to show you whatever your brain needs in order to get your best work done. it can be simple and minimal or robust and maximalist.
my best advice would be to brainstorm all your must-haves, nice to haves, and possibly keep track of things that you don’t really need. and then to put it to use - do some experimenting and refining to see what’s actually helpful and what might just be clutter or cause distractions.
at a minimum, i’d suggest having your daily or weekly tasks list and some inspiring images or digital spells, to help keep you excited, motivated, and focused.
i have a full walkthrough of my daily dashboard that you can check out here and if you wanna grab just the daily dashboard template a la carte - without the entire holy grail hq, you can check out the template here.
i love having all my digital visual spells throughout my dash. and my fav databases on here are my projects, my inbox & my inbox processing station (inside these toggles), and my task list.
this task section is where i go to get my work done each day! this is where the magic happens!
content dashboard
my next most-used dashboard is my content dashboard. this is the space where i store ideas, keep track of what content i’m working on, schedule my content, and store everything once it’s done- like the copy that i’ve written and links to where the content lives on the internet.
i have mine set up with inspiring and fun visuals, mixed with reminders and my goals, and distinct sections for each step of the content making process. i’ve got different views of the same database, so i can see what’s scheduled here on a calendar, then i have an in development section to show what i’m currently working on or what’s up next, and a pitching and brainstorming section for all my ideas.
i’ve got each content page set up as a template with everything i need inside like my to do list, quick links, and copywriting. this makes it very handy to reference when i need links later or re-calling information for new content!
i’ve got my content database related to my projects to keep it organized and keep me focused on my goals & objectives.
second brain/resource library
the second brain dashboard is a resource/reference library to store important things to recall in the future.
i’ve seen a lot of notion creators talking about a second brain as in their entire notion workspace system encompassing projects, tasks, etc - that’s what i affectionately refer to as my holy grail headquarters which i mentioned at the top of the video. the way i use this second brain is as the reference library that lives within my holy grail hq.
i’ve got a full walkthrough on how i use my second brain that you can check out here if you want a more in depth look.
i save things like inspirational website & sales pages that might be helpful for my business, my favorite newsletters, coupons for my fav online shops, blog articles, and websites related to projects or goals i’m working on - anything i might like to reference at a later date while i am working on something like a project or piece of content.
i love having my second brain organized by using a related database called “tags.” this makes it super easy to keep the database organized and easily usable.
and of course i love using emojis to help my brain visually with organization and categorization as well 😉

SOP’s (standard operating procedures)
i don’t actually have this one set up as a dashboard - it’s just a database. but, it’s a really important one and i felt that it should be included here. you’re more than welcome to set it up on a dashboard - i just don’t feel like i need a specific dashboard because i don’t feel like i need anything else on this page to use it successfully.
this is a really helpful database to start building out for your business. your standard operating procedures are the processes that you use to get things done. and by documenting the steps, it makes your tasks much easier the next time you go to do them, or when you’re training somebody else to do them down the line.
this is super helpful for my neurodivergent brain - because then i don’t have to try to remember all of the steps it takes when i sit down to do something like my monthly bookkeeping, for example. i can just pop open my checklist and start checking off the boxes. this frees up an immense amount of energy and brain power!
i have this SOP database related to my projects so that when i am working in any of my projects, it’s easy for me to access any related SOP’s right there inside my project template.
